The Brothers In Racing Story

The Team Brothers in Racing story began 5 years ago when the boys decided to try racing and realize their dream to form the first team featuring 3 brothers as team drivers. Making their debut at the Merdeka Millennium 12 Hour Endurance Race in Sepang, Malaysia for the 2006 race event, Team Brothers in Racing is the brainchild of three blood brothers Nazir, Ridzuan and Khairul who founded the team in 2005. Their unwavering passion for motorsports gave them the driving force behind the creation of Team Brothers in Racing. The three brothers have always been individually involved dynamically in motorsports themselves even before they started the team. They are best known as an independent squad with enough skills and dedication to become a very potent adversary in any race event that they choose to participate in. As brothers their integration is seamless as they have known each others since childhood. The spirit of brotherhood together with the tight bonds between them gives them undivided integration that other teams will only be able to dream about. This together with their common passion for Honda cars is also the driving force behind their unity which has seen Team Brothers in Racing using Honda machines as the primary car of choice for competitions. Following the footstep and cues of successful family based racing teams such as Wood Brothers Racing, the oldest continuously operating NASCAR Cup Series team of NASCAR fame makes Team Brothers in Racing a unique phenomenon on the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MME) scene. They initially contested for the first time in the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MME) 2006 event with their Honda Civic (EG6). The participation gave the team members valuable experience on race planning, inventory forecast and proper execution which helps them gain a better competitive edge. 2007 and 2008 saw the Honda Civic (EG6) replaced with a more powerful member of the Civic family, the Honda Civic (EK9) Type R for the team to have a second shot at the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MME), Malaysia’s premier annual racing event. Together, their passion has been to work hard to achieve their goal of becoming the best Honda racing team in the country. For 2009 they have again chosen to compete with a Honda machine, a Honda Integra (DC5) Type R. The teams’ formation history and legacy has given an example of what Honda’s The Power of Dream motto really is.
